File Downloads

Post by Tim Fortner on October 17th 2014, 7:58 pm

Import my VAP file to voice attack. There is an import button in the voice attack window.
Install  sound wave/VAP zip folder inside your voice attack folder.
To use my Vap command file you need to remap the arrow keys in iRacing to 1,2,3,4,

Thanks again Tim. I got it installed into the folder and I can see it now. I'm having two issues though #1 is the trial version only allowes 20 commands so it wouldn't import the whole file and the other is for some reason when opening Voice Attack it only recognizes my web cam for the audio source and I see no way within the app to select my headset instead.

Check control panel / sound options.

Ya been there done that lol. My turtle beach is selected as my default and if I disable the web cam it shuts it down entirely not just the audio. I'm still playing with it. Question are there more settings in the licenced version?

I'm finding out that the windows voice recognition is tied to my web cam as well and it never used to be so something is amiss.

I see, a voice command app. Interesting. Think I prefer a button box, but neat idea.

Hey James, you may be having issues with the two devices being USB. It may be compounded if you are using a sound card AND say front panel inputs for your headset. Sometimes things get confused which way to go with the sound and mic.

Humm... No sound card just onboard sound for now but I have just moved the wireless sending unit for my headset to the front usb jacks for easier access. Thanks Chris ill check that out.

Well I finially went back and messed with Voice attact and I found out that I had to go into the windows speech recognition advanced settings and select my headset as the default even though it's the default everwhere else already so all good now. I made my 1st profile and used it this morning @ Martinsville and it worked flawlessly, So much better on the short tracks than using the button box. I'm sold thanks Tim for the heads up.

Is Voice attack the app for saying how many tires, how much fuel, etc. instead of using the button commands?

Not sure what you mean Shane. Do you use a button box? If so I had to re asign a few commands back to keyboard commands to get it working. I did this because I didn't want to give up what I had programed to my Button box until I knew I might go all the way with Voice attack. Hit me up and Ill send you my number and maybe I can help.

Well I was able to create my own iRacing profile with audible feed back for the pit commands. I't pretty basic for now with just fuel and tire commands, a few black box screens and some chat messages. Seems to work pretty good.
